BePeriod is inviting its students to an international gathering in London. London houses some of the worlds most important collections of art, several noteworthy churches, and a rich ongoing offering of cultural performances. We will visit the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Victoria Albert, and Tate Britain, to meet familiar works featured in our workshops. We will explore Westminster Abbey and the Church of the Knights Templar to witness the Gothic and Medieval expressions of Christianity in England.
BePeriod is inviting its students to an international gathering in Egypt. The event will begin in Cairo, where we will reside nearby the Giza plateau, and end in Luxor, where we will reside along the Nile. Join us for an exploration of the Pyramids, the mysterious Sphinx, the treasures of Tutankhamen’s tomb, Islamic Cairo, the colossal temples of Thebes, the symbolic journey through the underworld as painted on the walls of Kings tombs, and more – all on the inspiring backdrop of the desert, palms, and a spectacular river.
Join us for an exploration of the Renaissance, the Galleria Ufizzi’s collection of sculpture and painting, the Museo San Marco’s frescoes of Fra Angelico, the Palazzo Medici Riccardi’s mystical chapel of the Magi, and more – all on the inspiring backdrop of Florentine piazzas and alleys.
In some works of art, beauty overshadows meaning. In others, meaning outshines and compensates for lack of beauty. And in few notable works, beauty and meaning strike such a perfect balance that makes them forever significant. Florence harbors artworks of all three kinds, and serves as a perfect study ground for learning to discern between the more subjective and the more objective.
BePeriod is inviting its students to an international gathering in Paris. From a centrally-located hotel in the old part of town, we will daily explore traces of school, dividing our time between site visits and relaxing walks, careful study and inspiring talks, taking as much advantage of the unique environment as our meeting together face to face.
Join us for an exploration of the Gothic tradition, the Musée de Louvre’s collection of worldwide art, the Musée Guimet’s collection of oriental art, and the Musée de Cluny’s collection of medieval art – all on the inspiring backdrop of the charming cafes, cobble-stone streets, manicured gardens, fountains and bells of Paris.
Join us for an esoteric exploration of Jerusalem, the ‘City of Peace.’ Observe the conflict between inner and outer interpretations of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Witness how the inner meaning that sparked these traditions is still accessible if only we know where to seek it. Experience the opportunity of learning with other fourth way students during the day and rehearsing with them at night. Use the effort, inspiration, and intensity of this gathering to experience your own ‘inner peace’…
Museum and site visits, meetings and dining events, a concert, and a puppet show — all prepared and performed by Beperiod members. Events are focused around a weekend. However, if you’re able to come earlier, there will be daily activities during the week leading to it, from Monday September 25th:
